There’s been some changes made to jameslindeman.co.uk and as part of that, I’ve moved my old site including my blog over to blog.jameslindeman.co.uk whilst I rethink this part. The blog has the same RSS as before so you don’t need to adjust anything to stay tuned.
For those people interested in an ExpressionEngine meetup (northern UK), the first takes place in Sheffield on 21st January. More details are posted on http://devot-ee.com/events.

Typedia has just launched, ‘a shared encyclopedia…to classify, categorise, and connect typefaces’. Also see the articles ‘Introducing Typedia’ from the creator, Jason Santa Maria and ‘Behind the Typedia Logo Design’ from John Langdon.

Last week Jeffrey Veen announced Typekit. This is great news as Andy Clarke says ‘Typekit will save everything’. I’m also intrigued about Richard Rutter’s comment about a Clearleft announcement this week.
Following the Fluid Grids article on ALA, The Unstoppable Robot Ninja (Ethan Marcotte) has been developing a technique for Fluid Images. Great work, I’ll definitely be giving this a go, watch this space.
A List Apart have now published their findings from the Web Design Survey, 2008. You might also want to check out Eric Meyer on publishing the results as HTML+CSS.
Due to the amount of comment spam I’m getting on this site I’ve started using Low NoSpam. You can find more about it on Low’s article EE: Low NoSpam and follow updates on GitHub.

Mark Boulton’s much anticipated book ‘Designing for the Web’ was released last week and just in case you havn’t heard, it’s outstanding. You can download the book as PDF from fivesimplesteps.co.uk.
This years Camden Crawl on 24th–25th April is now not that far away. The line-up is still to be announced but if it’s anywhere near as good as last year I’ll be very happy. If you’re interested keep an eye out for details on the Camden Crawl website and let me know if you’re going.
Another auction is being held by the LSAD’s Graphic Design degree course and this year they’re off to the big smoke. After my experience last year I’d definitely recommend it. See what guest auctioneer Michael Johnson will be putting under the hammer at www.designauction.co.uk.
If you’re not sure what RSS is all about, then you might find a good article here.
